OMG! Alia Bhatt's designer mehendi lehenga took these many hours to make

MUMBAI: Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married on April 14 in a private ceremony with family and close friends in attendance. The couple also hosted a small, intimate reception party at their Vastu home in Mumbai. Alia shared pictures of her fairytale wedding that sent the Internet into frenzy. After sharing their wedding photos, the couple made an appearance and posed for the media. They were all smiles and on their way back, Ranbir lifted Alia in his arms.

More pictures have been following. Alia shared pictures from her mehendi ceremony. The actress looked beyond beautiful in a pink lehenga. It was created by ace designer Manish Malhotra.

The designer shared a beautiful picture of Alia and shared details of her lehenga. He wrote in the caption, "A treasure of traceability and trust. The very beautiful @aliaabhatt chose to personalize her Mehendi ensemble with a sustainable approach, where approximately 180 textile patches come together to mark her momentous occasion, the most special one indeed. The custom touches reminisce about her journey and depict symbolic elements of her memories."

He added, "Inscribed through Kashmiri and Chikankari threads, the passionate 3000- hour intricate handwork of #Mijwan women features a fuschia pink lehenga and a blouse embellished in real gold and silver nakshi and kora flowers, and vintage gold metal sequins from kutchh. The patches are woven together using a couture technique of cross-stitches with three tar and six tar anchors."

Alia and Ranbir's wedding was one of the most awaited weddings of Bollywood. The couple and their families remain tight-lipped about the wedding details until the eleveth hour. Neetu Kapoor confirmed the wedding date only after she attended the couple's mehendi.

After a 3-day wedding celebration with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Animal shoot. Today, he was spotted at the T-Series office ahead of the shoot of Animal in Manali.
