MUMBAI : Tusshar Kapoor will next be seen in Maarrich which is a whodunit thriller. The trailer of the film was launched today at an event in Mumbai and the movie also stars Anita Hassanandani Reddy in a pivotal role. Watching Tusshar and Anita in the trailer, takes us back to the Kucch To Hai days. Though Kucch To Hai was a flop at the box office, people loved Tusshar and Anita’s pairing. Even Kucch To Hai was a thriller inspired by the Hollywood film I Know What You Did Last Summer.

We all know that it’s the season of sequels in Bollywood, so when asked Tusshar why he didn’t plan to make Maarrich as Kucch To Hai 2, the actor said, “Kucch To Hai was a campus-slasher thriller; very teenage and in the zone of I Know What You Did Last Summer. Maarrich is more realistic, and we hear a lot that such incidents happen in India. It’s more gritty and darker. Kucch To Hai was more of a popcorn, college crowd entertainer. This film is many more shades kadak than that.”
When we talk about Kucch To Hai, the first thing that comes to our mind is the song Ding Dong which featured Tusshar and Anita. When we asked the actors if we would get to watch a song like Ding Dong in Maarrich, Anita laughed and said, “No, absolutely not.”
Directed by Dhruv Lather, Maarrich also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Rahul Dev, and Dipannita Sharma. The movie is slated to release on 9th December 2022. Check out the trailer of Maarrich below and let us know in the comments what you think about it…
