‘I gave my best, I don’t think I deserved to be evicted’: Hema Sharma reflects on her Bigg Boss18 exit

Hema Sharma

MUMBAI: In a shocking turn of events after ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ on COLORS’ 'BIGG BOSS', the house witnessed the first eviction of Hema Sharma, popularly known as Viral Bhabhi. Despite being a super entertaining, dynamic presence in the house, Hema became the season’s first casualty of eviction, with insufficient votes from the public sealing her fate. Hema, who had captured the hearts of viewers and housemates alike with her signature Viral Bhabhi flair, brought her larger-than-life personality and an endless supply of hilarious one-liners to the show. Whether she was delivering punchy quips or stirring up a storm with her animated energy, Hema ensured that there was never a dull moment. Her antics kept the mood light in the high-tension environment, making her one of the most prominent figures in the house. However, as is the rule, the game spares no one, and Hema found herself on the receiving end of an emotional farewell after receiving the fewest votes.

Hema Sharma's journey from humble beginnings to becoming the beloved Viral Bhabhi of the nation is nothing short of inspiring. Catapulting to fame with her fun-loving online persona, Hema walked into the Bigg Boss 18 house and instantly made an impression with her impeccable comic timing and unfiltered charm. From the moment she stepped foot inside, she became a force to be reckoned with. In an early show of loyalty, she graciously obliged fellow contestant Chahat Pandey by voluntarily going to jail in her place—a move that showcased her big heart. Even behind bars, Hema’s bright personality refused to be dimmed, as she and jailmate Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga turned their confinement into a comedic spectacle that had the house in splits. Despite securing control of the house ration early on, she quickly found herself in the middle of a classic ration war —proving that even Viral Bhabhi’s charm couldn’t keep tempers from flaring when it came to food. But it was during her emotional exit that Hema’s softer side truly shone through, as she gave Shilpa Shirodkar the warmest and most lingering hug.

Talking about her journey, Hema Sharma shares, "I didn’t deserve to be evicted! If there were voting issues, I feel helpless, but I truly gave my all in the game. It’s shocking that I’m leaving instead of Muskan or Bagga Ji; even the contestants were taken aback. Arfeen Khan believed I was destined for the top 5. Meeting Salman sir on Bigg Boss was a highlight—he’s been lucky in my journey, from my first film, Dabangg 3, to now being here. Talking about my time in the house, I became really frustrated when Avinash insisted, ‘Pehle sorry bolo, tabhi khana dunga.’ Everyone was stunned by my outburst! This entire experience has revealed a new side of myself, and I’ve learned so much from this house."
