Dum Maro Dum girl Zeenat Aman is all set to make a comeback on the silver screen with the sequel of internationally acclaimed movie Dunno Y...Na Jaane Kyun.
In the original, the actress had played an interesting character of a married woman who is seeing two boyfriends at the same time. In that, she was paired opposite Kabir Bedi and Helen who played her mother-in-law.
Besides her, Kapil Sharma and Yuvraaj Parashar will again star in the sequel that will have a mix of popular European, Indian and Pakistani artistes. Interestingly, a popular European pop singer will play a cameo in the film. Hunt is now on for a fresh face that would play the female lead.
It’s a first time in the history of Bollywood that a sequel of an Indian film is to be made by a European company. To be made in three languages viz Norwegian, English and Hindi, the sequel will be directed by a Norwegian female director Tonje Gjevjon.
When Gjevjon saw the first part in Israel, she was taken aback by the unconventional approach of the script and universal emotions and got very keen to make its sequel in European settings. The film will be entirely shot in Norway in a start-to finish-schedule in August.
While the first part was serious drama, the sequel will be light breezy comedy romantic musical.
Interestingly, the original was tagged as Bollywood's answer to Brokeback Mountain in West while a French director made a documentary on it in Switzerland. Actors Kapil and Yuvraaj bagged the best actor awards in Greece while the film won nine international awards.
The sequel will be premiered at prestigious festivals of Europe and will have a worldwide release. Its first look teaser was premiered recently at the Kashish film festival of Mumbai.
