Shocking! Bengali actress Suchandra Dasgupta dies after a 10 wheeler runs her over

MUMBAI: Well known Bengali actress Suchandra Dasgupta died in a horrifying road accident on Saturday night. The 29 year old actress was on her way home in Panihati from her set when she fell from the motorbike she was traveling on and a 10 wheeler lorry ran her over.

As per an eye-witness, the accident took place near Baranagar, close to Ghoshpara under the Baranagar Police Station. Suchandra was reportedly traveling on an app-based bike when all of a sudden a bicycle crossed the road, stunning the driver. He applied brakes but the actress fell on the road and her helmet cracked into several pieces. 

Protests have reportedly broken out after the tragic accident, where the public is blaming the cops for not handing the reckless lorry driver and holding him accountable.  

The actress’s family and friends are still in immense shock with this tragic news and are unable to come to terms with it.

Debjyoti Sengupta, Suchandra’s spouse said she had been a part of many Tv shows and was filming for a show and returning home when she was struck. 

Suchandra Dasgupta is well known for the hit Tv show Gouri Elo.
