MUMBAI:The Indian Film industry has evolved like no other over the years. It is one of the most lucrative places to be in where the actors are paid a huge fee to do what they do. Top actors like Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Allu Arjun and Prabhas, among others are known to charge exorbitant fees per movie. Sometimes their fees go over and above the entire budget of the film.

While some actors have started charging over Rs 100 crore per film, did you know that one actor has charged a whopping Rs 200 crore for a film, making him the highest paid actor in India. We are talking about the Tamil cinema superstar Thalapathy Vijay. He has reportedly charged Rs 200 crore for his film Leo. There is no confirmation on the news yet though. The actor who began his acting journey about 27 years ago and played the lead in around 66 films. 

The 48 year old actor is fondly called ‘Joe’ by his friends and family. Made under the banner of AGS Entertainment, Leo is a gangster-thriller film and the film also stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead and Sanjay Dutt is playing the villain in the film.
