SAG-AFTRA had announced that they would be joining the writers’ strike. The association has declared a strike primarily due to poor working conditions and low salary wages. During the strike, a poster of SS Rajamouli's film, RRR, was spotted.

The strike was announced by the Screen Actors Guild after the union failed to reach a new labour agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The strike has affected shooting for many upcoming shows and films.

Meanwhile, in a photo doing the rounds on the internet, we spotted a poster of RRR at the strike. On July 14 at midnight, SAG-AFTRA, announced that they would be joining the writers’ strike.

A man wearing a hat is seen walking in the strike while holding a poster that has Ram Charan and Jr NTR performing their hook step from Naatu Naatu. RRR gained international recognition when it won an Oscar for its song Naatu Naatu.

The community involves over 160,000 actors, media professionals, broadcast journalists and hosts. The union receives security of pay and working conditions from the big Hollywood studios.

The SAG-AFTRA strikes a bargain at the gap of every three years with Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) which includes studios and streaming services such as Disney, Warner Bros and Netflix.

SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP failed to reach an agreement on July 12, as a result of which an indefinite strike was declared. The impact was immediately felt, as it was reported that Oppenheimer stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt and Florence Pugh left the red carpet in support of the guild's decision.
