MUMBAI: Actress Sumati Singh is currently wowing viewers in her role of Keerti in the drama series ‘Kismat Ki Lakiro Se’. She also has hit shows like ‘Tera Mera Saath Rahe’ and ‘Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop’ added to her name. The buzz ahead of the upcoming season of Bigg Boss has been on a high lately, and Sumati Singh opens up on whether she will be keen on being part of India’s biggest reality show.
Talking about how reality shows like Bigg Boss are a great opportunity to grow and connect with the audience, Sumati shares, “I feel today reality shows give you more visibility and get you to the next level of audience and fan base. More than visibility and audience, you get to do new things, and you get to test yourself. You get to know how you will react to a certain situation and you understand yourself more. If I get a chance, I will surely do it and test myself. When we do something for TV shows, we play a character but people get to know how we are in real life through reality shows.”
The actress reveals that the Salman Khan-hosted show is her favourite, “Bigg Boss has been my favourite show. Now I don’t get the time to follow the show, but in between I sometimes watch it. When I was in college, I always wanted to watch my favourite characters in real life. You get to know what things they do in real life, how they are, and how they talk in reality shows. We even tend to like the people whom we used to dislike before the reality shows, after knowing their true personalities in these reality shows.”
Along with sharing her favourite seasons of Bigg Boss, Sumati shares an interesting and memorable fact which many don’t know, “I liked the season when Gauhar Khan was there. That season was very interesting and spiced up, but my favourite season was season 9 where Prince Narula won because in that season I was part of Bigg Boss as a crew member. I was so crazy about Bigg Boss that I joined it as a crew member. Working in Bigg Boss was my best experience ever. If I get to go inside the house as an artist, then that will be a different kind of feeling.”
It is truly delightful to hear Sumati Singh’s enthusiasm and openness to doing the show while carefully understanding the challenges and the benefits that come with doing a huge show like Bigg Boss. We hope that very soon we get to see her as a contestant on the show!
