MUMBAI: The cult classic comedy series Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai, which captivated audiences in the 2000s, doesn't require an introduction. The program was shown from 2004 to 2017 and is still well-liked by viewers in India. Ratna Pathak Shah, a Bollywood actress, played Maya Sarabhai, the mother-in-law of Monisha Sarabhai played by Rupali Ganguly. The audience adores every single character on the show. The gifted actress recently shared interesting information on the show's success and other topics.
Ratna Pathak Shah revealed that the cast was made up of young people who were learning through the show in a recent interview on how she was approached for Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. She said, "Everyone was making mistakes. We took 7 days to shoot one episode. Can you believe it? People finish a whole series in 7 days." Even though it was funny, she had a great time, and that's what kept her engaged. Shah added that this gave her hope that she might sustain herself as an actor.
Ratna Pathak Shah thinks that this program marked a turning point in her career because it was when people began to take notice of her and offer her desirable parts. She added, "Before that, I was just somebody in the background."
She added that the writing was exceptional and that Sarabhai had a fantastic plot. While everyone praises the acting, the Bollywood actress feels that all shows succeed because of the content and direction, regardless of the acting. She added, "It was a show that was confident of itself and came out with a bang. That made a difference."
