MUMBAI: Doordarshan has been a part of every millennial’s life for the longest time. The shows on DD shall always be defined as 'old is gold'. There were shows like Shrimaan Shrimati, Wagle Ki Duniya, and Office Office that had reboot versions but the old ones had a charm of their own.
Swaraj was a show produced by Contiloe Pictures on the channel and through this show; it tried to bring out the tales of courage of all the freedom fighters. Dubbed in several languages, it narrates India’s historical journey from 1498 when Vasco da Gama first reached India to 1947 when India achieved independence. (Also Read: EXCLUSIVE! Well, the show is now scheduled to have a digital release on Amazon Prime!
For the same, Minister of Broadcast, Anurag Thakur will be present and other members of Doordarshan Bharti will accompany him along with the head of Amazon Prime.
Not only that, the show has also launched a patriotic music video which will release on the same OTT platform.
We connect with actor Vinit Kakar to know more about the music video in which she features. He shared, “I play Tirot Singh in the show. While shooting for the music video, the beats and lyrics awaken the patriotic in you. It literally gave me goosebumps while shooting for the song.”
