Born to Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra's paternal aunt (bua), Kamini Chopra Handa, Mannara’s parents kept her name Barbie because she used to look like a doll back in those days.
In a podcast, Mannara had shared that while at the screening of her film Zid, Priyanka suggested changing her name and since Mannara’s sister’s name is Mitali starting with an M, she chose Mannara which means to shine.
