MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has been appointed national ambassador for India by humanitarian organization UNICEF. UNICEF has been operating in India for 75 years and the diva has been serving as the org’s celebrity advocate since 2014.

She will now be seen supporting UNICEF India in furthering every child’s right to early childhood development, health, education and much more.
Kareena who was last seen in Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor's film Crew with Kriti Sanon and Tabu was appreciated for her performance in the movie. The film Crew is one of the biggest Indian hits of 2024 wherein the divas played the role of flight attendants with a failing airline which gets involved in gold smuggling to a fictitious Middle Eastern country. Well, Bebo hinted at the sequel of Crew. She said that producers Ektaa R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor are looking at a sequel.
Kareena even said that Crew deserves a sequel as it is a refreshing take on women standing their own, using their mind but in a fun kind of way. The actress is currently filming Rohit Shetty's Singham Again with Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh and Tiger Shroff. She even said that she and Deepika Padukone have strong parts in the movie. Bebo said that it is a big ticket Bollywood bonanza for this year.

On the work front, Kareena has Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders wherein she will play the role of a detective and mother who, after losing her own child investigates the murder of a 10-year-old in Buckinghamshire.
