Zee TV has recently launched a new presentation titled Main Hoon Saath Tere under the banner of Full House Media.
The story traces the journey of Janvi, a single mother, highlighting the numerous obstacles she faces in her dual role as a parent. The show, which is based in Gwalior, takes us on an emotional rollercoaster as Janvi struggles to maintain her son Kian's happiness at all costs. Kian feels the absence of a male in his mother's life even if he doesn't miss a father figure—especially because he observes her doing everything on her own. When Janvi meets wealthy businessman Aryaman and they eventually work together under one roof, the narrative thickens. The concept of the show is extremely interesting and features Ulka Gupta, Karan Vohra and Nihan Jain in the leading roles. The daily soap got a fabulous response when the promo went on-air and with the launch, the audience has their hopes high.
The show seems to have hit the right chord with the masses as they are in love with Nihan’s innocent looks, Ulka’s strong and skillful acting and they want to see the chemistry build up between Ulka and Karan.
Ulka has been a strong performer and it is a delight to see her in the role of a mother. To see her in traditional sarees puts her in different light and Ulka has always made sure that she comes back with something different than her previous project.
The narrative set is something different and we might have seen this drama in some Hindi movies, the more recent one being Jawan but pulling out an entire show which focuses on the bond between a mother and son and how the child puts his mother’s suitor to test is something which is a visual delight.
The initial episodes of the serial are being loved by the masses and social media is proof of the same.
One thing which might not work in favour is if the program becomes monotonous or takes a different route. There are some shows which start on a very good note and present plots which promise to be something out of ordinary but later it turns out to churn the same fodder. So far, the drama seems to be doing well and it is undoubtedly a visual treat.
