MUMBAI: Suyyash Rai and Aneri Vajani teamed up and shot a music video with Munawar Faruqui.
Munawar has been making headlines for his personal life and marriage. As he shot for the music video, Suyyash and Aneri spoke exclusively to TellyChakkar about Munawar’s talent and experience working with him. Aneri said, “He is a great human being and is very easy going. He has done a lot of things in life and is a man of many talents but when you meet him in person, whether you are a celebrity or a common man, he treats people respectfully and humbly. We spent some four to five hours together and we spoke a lot in Gujarati.
Suyyash added, “I had not seen Munawar’s acting prior to this video and when I saw the shots, I genuinely saw that he is natural and effortless as an actor. I first met Munawar when Prince Narula and his video was a hit. Prince and I share a connection from the Bigg Boss days and he had come with Munawar to my studio to dub Munawar’s bit. In that Munawar heard a part of my song and showed interest. This was the time when he had just won Lock Upp. He told me to send the music to him and that he just wants to hear it in his car.
He later expressed his wish to work with me. I knew that he writes well, as he had dubbed for his bit with Prince and I knew that his contribution would only add credibility to his music and that is what transpired. What he has done is outstanding and he has an art which people rarely possess.
