MUMBAI : The fact that Sonakshi Sinha's marriage to Zaheer Iqbal caused a few disputes in his family has been confirmed by Shatrughan Sinha. The veteran actor has highlighted though, that all of the "stress" has been addressed and everything is OK. Furthermore, Shatrughan disclosed that, according to multiple reports, Sonakshi's wedding is not planned for June 23. It is, in fact, the day of her reception.
Shatrughan Sinha stated in an interview with the popular news portal, “It is the wedding reception that we are all attending on the evening of June 23.” Clarifying the date again, the veteran actor said, “No one from my family said anything about a wedding. Some media outlets have just been presuming things. Too much attention is being given to something that is a private family matter.”
“Shadiyan sab ke ghar hoti hain. Pre-wedding conflicts are also common. We are all okay now. Whatever the stress has been sorted,” he said and added, “Koi wand nahi hai. Yeh sab hota hi hai har shaadi main. Just because she is Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter, it doesn’t mean Sonakshi can’t have what she wants in life. Hum log bohot maza karenge June 23 ko.”
Rumors of a rift between Sonakshi and Shatrughan first began after the actor said that he was not aware of her forthcoming wedding. However, Shatrughan, in a recent interview, called out those who are spreading “lies” against his family.
“Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I’m very proud of and immensely fond of,” Shatrughan told the popular news portal. “She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?”
Sonakshi has "every right to choose her partner," according to Shatrughan, and he supports her choice. Shatrughan made the following statement regarding his daughter's future husband, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live their life together. They look very nice together.”
He continued, “Those who are coming out with fake news are just sounding very frustrated with this joyous occasion as they are spreading nothing but lies. I’d like to caution them with my signature dialogue: Khamosh, it’s none of your business.”
Salman Khan, Honey Singh, the actors of Heeramandi, Daisy Shah, Poonam Dhillon, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and others are among those invited to Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding reception.
