MUMBAI: Teri Meri Doriyaann is produced by Cockrow Entertainment and Shaika Films, debuted on Star Plus in January of last year, and has been captivating viewers ever since. The drama starred Himanshi Parashar and Vijayendra Kumeria as the main characters Angad and Sahiba, routinely outperformed several prime-time programs on a variety of networks by ranking well on the TRP charts.

However, the makers were concerned when Teri Meri Doriyaann's ratings started to drop in recent months. They responded by introducing a six-year plot gap that included Angad and Sahiba's separation. In addition, Yogendra Vikram Singh best known for his part in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin was introduced as Sahiba's new partner, Diljeet.
Initially, Yogendra's portrayal of Diljeet was well-received by the audience. However, as the post-leap narrative unfolded, the ratings witnessed a big dip as the loyal fanbase didn't like the Sahiba and Angad's separation track. Seeing the reactions, the makers killed Diljeet's character.
Since the ratings remained static despite Yogendra's exit and SahAn's reunion, the producers decided to kill off Himanshi Parashar's beloved character and reintroduce her as Sahiba's twin, Gurnoor. However, it looks like nothing is working in Teri Meri Dooriyaann's favour.
We are stating this because there have been rumors that the channel intends to end the program. Although there have been long-running off-air rumors, a recent article from a well-known news outlet claims that the channel has chosen to end Teri Meri Doriyaann. It says that because the show consistently receives low TRPs, it will be taken off the air next month. However, neither the producers nor the actors have responded, therefore an official confirmation of the same is still expected.
