MUMBAI :  Sunidhi Chauhan started her career at the young age of five and she is one of the most successful singers in the Indian music industry since risen to become one of the highest-paid female singers in the country. She is known for her performances for popular Bollywood songs, such as Shelia Ki Jawani, Gun Gun Guna, Desi Girl, and Crazy Kiya Re.

Recently, Sunidhi Chauhan spoke about her decision to no longer judge reality TV shows and how she has not been paid for singing so many well-known songs throughout her career.

During her appearance on Raj Shamani's podcast, Sunidhi Chauhan revealed several shocking facts. In the past, the singer judged several reality singing competitions, including Dil Hai Hindustani season 2, The Voice, and Indian Idol seasons five and six. She never served as a reality program judge after 2018, though.

Raj Shamani then questioned her about her interactions with them and the reason for her decision to stop judging over more reality-singing television shows. The singer admitted that they create fake narratives and don't present reality.

She was quoted saying, "I enjoyed my first two years in when there was no emotional drama, just fun, and the performance you heard was the same as what was broadcast on TV. Now, what you watch on TV shows is all doctored, its all corrected."

She also mentioned how nearly all reality TV programs are now manipulated and edited. Furthermore, according to Sunidhi, the producers frequently attempt to draw attention to a contestant's strong points. As a result, whenever someone is eliminated, viewers get confused as to why it might have happened.

She stopped participating because she didn't think any of these things were right. The producers requested Sunidhi to promote certain contestants irrespective of their performance, which helped them in business, and that was the most startling thing to happen to her.

Sunidhi Chauhan admitted that she hasn't been paid for some of her most popular songs in the same podcast. Raj added that many singers say that they are asked to sing multiple versions of a song and get paid for one of them. She agreed that singers are often not paid in the industry.

She said, "I haven't got money for many movies, even today they don't give me. They ask and I choose not to take it because I feel for this song I don't need money. At some places I would like to help so I say my price and I sing the song. You don't want to hurt anybody's ego because everyone does not think like you. They might also not understand how you feel."

Sonu Nigam got involved in a social media dispute with T-series a while back, during which he disclosed a possible mafia-like influence over the Hindi film industry.

He went on to say, "Kuch hi log hain, kuch hi logo ko aage badhayenge?" to indicate that some people are in control of it. Sunidhi agreed that this kind of lobbying appears everywhere in award functions, concerts, movies, and reality programs, among other places and can't be avoided.
