Speaking of working with Kay Kay Menon in the show, Rasika said, “Kay Kay always adds so much to a scene and that just makes everybody's job easier. There is so much to learn from that kind of experience, especially with the kind of body of work that he has had. I would always watch them both - Kay Kay and Ranvir (Shorey) - when we would be on set.”
She added, “I would make a few mistakes before I get to the right choice. But, they've had so much more experience that they can already see the 10th move. They can go there directly. I have to go from one to nine and then reach 10. It's just so nice to see that their experience is translated into that kind of foresight. So that is something interesting to learn.”
Speaking of her role Iraboty, Rasika added, “There was this time when they had put me in many scenes in some episodes. I actually spoke to the director and producer and cut myself out of some scenes because I said 'this character, the mystery and desire will only exist if you don't see her in everyday situations'. So, I actually did the reverse - I cut scenes out for myself, rather than adding them.”
The crime drama Tv series Shekhar Home is helmed by Rohit Sippy and Srijit Mukherjee and is produced under BBC Studios Productions. The show stars Kay Kay Menon, Ranvir Shorey, Rasika Dugal, Kirti Kulhari, Kaushik Sen, and Rudranil Ghosh. The series premiered on JioCinema on 14 August 2024.
