Rhea Chakraborty remembers how her friends were eating and drinking with her dad while she was in jail; Said, ‘I’m like, why have you gained so much weight?’

MUMBAI : Rhea Chakraborty is one of the well-known figures in the film industry. Following her detention by the NCB, the actress went through a difficult period in her life. The Jalebi actress said in a recent conversation how, in order to provide them with moral support, her friends would drink with her father every day while she was inside.

Rhea Chakraborty revealed in a recent interview with Humans of Bombay that she came to understand her actual friends after her incarceration. She said that during the difficult time, her friends were a huge help in looking after her parents.

Rhea said, “One of my friends—a couple friends—used to drink with my dad and eat food with them every night while we were inside. When I came out, ‘I’m like, why have you gained so much weight? Kameeno, main wahan jail mein thi aur tumlog yaha khana khaa rahe ho, weight put on kar rahe ho.”

She was impressed when her friends explained that they were attempting to get her parents to eat and feel something normal about the circumstances. This kind gesture left a lasting impression on Rhea. She went on to discuss her friends' unwavering support and their attempts to assist her family in coping with the circumstances.

Prizing her buddies as "women's superpowers," she said that, like her friends, one needs nothing more to be with her family.

Rhea said, “You don’t need anything else—you can have one true friend in life and that’s enough. Shibani (Dandekar) was that for me. The way Shibani stood for me was enough for me to know that the whole world can be against me, but I have one friend, and she is my true friend.”

Regarding her professional career, Rhea last appeared with Amitabh Bachchan in Chehre in 2021. Right now, she's having fun in her new role as business owner. August of last year marked the debut of her apparel line. She also runs a podcast called Chapter 2, on which celebrities like Sushmita Sen and Aamir Khan have appeared.
