MUMBAI: Star Plus’ latest show, 'Jhanak', features Hiba Nawab in the titular role of Jhanak, Krushal Ahuja as Anirudh, and Chandani Sharma as Arshi. Anirudh's health deteriorates when Arshi is around, and she always seems to be unconcerned with him, yelling at him. She asks him "Why is Jhanak here with him?"
When the doctor sees how much Arshi is hurting him in her presence and advises her to leave since her presence is affecting his health, Arshi tells him that this is not what she wants from him.
Anirudh states that Jhanak is crying for him and keeps wanting to see her. When Jhanak is called, she sits next to him to give him the strength to battle his health problem.
Anirudh wants her to promise him that she will be there for him directly in front of his eyes after his surgery. She does so, telling him that she will be there and asking him to return healthy.
Jhanak breaks her word when she is stopped by people and they won't allow her to meet him, which upsets Anirudh. He believes she doesn't give a damn about him.
