MUMBAI : After impressing the fans with her amazing talent in shows like Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke, Ziddi Dil Maane Na, Dil Diyaan Gallan, and many others, actress Kaveri Priyam is once again back with a bang with her new show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

The actress entered the popular show on Star Plus a few months ago and ever since then, she is impressing the audiences with her terrific performance.

Kaveri is seen playing the role of Aashika in the show and her character is shown in a negative light.

Well, we have seen Kaveri playing a negative role in a few of her previous projects too but this one is just amazing.

The stunning diva is nailing her role as Aashika who was Rajat aka Hitesh Bharadwaj's ex-wife and is paired opposite actor Ankit Arora who plays the character of Arsh.

In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Kaveri spoke about playing a mother on-screen and much more.

When asked if she had any apprehensions about taking up a role where she had to portray a role of a mother to two kids, she said, ''First of all, I said no, I can't do it. But then I was told that I will not be shown as a typical mother. So, I was okay with it and I gave it a shot.''

Further, when asked if she was concerned about her future projects as she would be offered roles like this and that's why actresses don't take up such roles, she said, ''But I don't understand this. Eventually, an actress will have to portray a mother's role if it is a long-running show. Everybody has played the role of a mother. They do experience such a phase. So, for how long should I run away from it?''

Commenting on how the viewers' perspective changes when an actress plays a mother on-screen, she said, ''The perception depends on the viewers I feel. I have always believed in taking up challenging things. I don't believe in stereotypes. I leave it up to the time.''
