MUMBAI: ‘Student of the Year’ also called SOTY, has completed 12 years and the movie still stands as one of the best movies from the past decade, based on young generation romance. Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, who played leads in the movie, made their debut with the movie and gave a really impressive performance, setting the bar very high for debutants who came after them.

Alia Bhatt, who played the female lead in the love-triangle, is also enjoying success as her performances are being praised a lot and is currently enjoying the success of her latest movie Jigra which also features Vedang Raina, who made his debut in the Netflix movie ‘The Archies’ directed by Zoya Akhtar.

Sidharth Malhotra was last seen in Indian Police Force, an Amazon Prime Series and Yodha, a theatrical release. Both the projects were very much loved and fans of Sidharth were in love with him all over again. Indian Police Force was a part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe and it was in fact Rohit Shetty’s OTT debut as well as his first time making a series.
