MUMBAI d: Manoj Bajpayee has time and again proven that he is a gem of Indian Cinema. His upcoming movie Despatch has been in the buzz for a while now. The movie will be a Zee5 original and was also screened in MAMI film festival where it got huge appreciation from viewers.
In an exclusive conversation with Tellychakkar, Manoj Bajpayee revealed about his experience working with Yash Chopra, Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan for Veer Zaara. He even talked about whether there is a possibility of him ever teaming up with SRK again.
Manoj Bajpayee said, “First of all, I’m not that big a star who can determine things. Secondly, I’m not a director who can think of making a film with Manoj and Shah Rukh, right? So I’m in no position to answer this question. All I can say is I enjoyed working in that film because you know Yash ji happened to watch ‘Pinjar’ of mine and Pinjar I really consider one of my best performances, I had a great time doing that performance. Yash ji, he watched at IFFI in Delhi. Those days it used to be in Delhi and then he thought of this idea of casting me in that role. I did it purely because of Yash ji because he offered to me and I thought this is a good chance of working with him, right? But I didn’t know if that role would do so much more than I actually thought.”
This was our conversation with Manoj Bajpayee before the release of Despatch which will be available to stream on Zee5 from 13th December.
