MUMBAI: IPL 2025 began with a great force. While it did not gain a lot of attention in a few matches initially, it soon became the old IPL that fans were missing. More than half of IPL season has passed and we don’t have a lot of matches left but things are getting more intense with every passing match.

In MI vs RR, the former won with 100 runs. Interestingly, Hardik Pandya became the third MI captain to achieve this type of victory at RR’s home ground. In the first innings, Mumbai Indians put up a score of 217/2 out of which Hardik Pandya contributed with 48 runs in 23 balls.
While MI had an outstanding first inning, it had an equally outstanding performance with bowling too. Rajasthan Royal lost with 117 runs in 16.1 overs. The reason why this victory of MI means a lot is because Hardik Pandya is the third captain after Sachin Tendulkar (2010) and Harbhajan Singh (2012), to defeat RR on their home ground.
While Rajasthan Royals lost to Mumbai Indians on Thursday, it won against MI in 5 matches at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
MI captain Hardik Pandya showed great all-rounder ability by taking Shubham Dubey’s wicket in his sole over.
