MUMBAI: ZEE once again placed Indian cinema at the forefront with Maruti Suzuki Presents 23rd Zee Cine Awards 2025, a dazzling homage to the performances, people, and passion that lit up the silver screen over the past year. More than just a celebration of stars, the night gave fans their due spotlight. In a high-voltage FANtertainment extravaganza, cinema’s creators and its biggest supporters came together to honour their shared love for the movies.
Among the most talked-about acts of the evening was Tamannaah Bhatia’s stunning tribute to the iconic women of Indian cinema. With a seamless blend of energy, grace, elegance, and expression, she commanded the stage with a high-octane performance featuring a striking contemporary fusion and a medley of evergreen hits.
A full-on filmy tribute to the dancing queens who got us grooving, with chart-toppers like Kajra Re, Sheila Ki Jawani, Fevicol Se, Beedi, and Kala Chashma lighting up the stage, along with her chartbuster Aaj Ki Raat — Tamannaah owned the stage with effortless flair.
Tamannaah Bhatia said, “Performing at the Maruti Suzuki presents Zee Cine Awards 2025 was truly special for me. It’s a night that celebrates everything we love about Indian cinema, and I felt honoured to pay tribute to the incredible women who’ve inspired generations with their grace and talent. I spent a lot of hours in practice to get it right—it was a tribute, and I wanted to do full justice to it. Reimagining Aaj Ki Raat, which has always been close to my heart, for a live performance was both challenging and creatively fulfilling. I truly hope the audience enjoys watching it as much as I enjoyed performing it.”
