MUMBAI: Talented actor Thakur Anoop Singh made a striking debut on the big screen with Romeo S3, a high-octane action drama helmed by veteran director Guddu Dhanoa.
Released on 15th May 2025, the film received a warm response from audiences and later made its television premiere on 17th July on &TV Pictures.
In Romeo S3, Anoop takes on the role of a valiant police officer, earning widespread praise for his powerful performance and screen presence.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, the actor opened up about what drew him to the project, and the extreme challenges he faced while filming.
What made you agree to be part of Romeo S3?
“For me, it was a dream debut. I was being launched in a Hindi film, and that too as a police officer — a character that’s powerful, heroic, and deeply rooted. It instantly clicked with me, and I felt this was the perfect platform to showcase my potential on the big screen,” said Anoop.
Were there any particular difficulties you faced while portraying the role?
“Absolutely. Physically, it was quite demanding,” Anoop recalled. “To embody a super-fit, heroic police officer, I had to undergo intense physical training. But just two weeks before shooting began, I had to undergo an emergency appendicitis operation. The area swelled up during recovery, and I was still healing when we started shooting. Despite the pain, I didn’t want to delay the schedule, so I requested the team to carry on.”
He continued, “I performed several action sequences and heavy monologue scenes while on painkillers — and to add to it, I was running a 102-degree fever during some of the key dialogues. Dubbing was particularly difficult under those conditions, but I pushed through. It was one of the most challenging yet fulfilling experiences of my career.”
