MUMBAI: The Great Cricket League (GCL) kicked off its much-awaited launch with a dazzling evening where the worlds of cricket and entertainment collided in spectacular fashion. The high-energy event gave fans an exciting first look at the league’s star captains, setting the stage for a season brimming with action, glamour, and fierce competition.
Stealing the spotlight were Rajat Dalal, Asim Riaz, Anurag Dobhal, Rohit Zinjurke, Shalin Bhanot and Dinesh Lal Yadav (Nirahua), who are all set to lead their respective teams in the upcoming season. At the launch event, Asim Riaz and Shalin Bhanot shared a friendly hug. The duo buried the hatchet over their past controversy from Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and moved on like two mature individuals.

According to sources, Gupta's character and personality in the show will come across quite similar to Jiya. As Lakshmi religiously searches for Jiya, since she's convinced that Jiya is alive, she comes across a new girl (played by Shrishti Gupta) whose mannerisms are quite similar to Jiya.
For the uninitiated, Asim Riaz and Shalin Bhanot were a part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 wherein the duo didn't get along. They had a massive fight resulting in host Rohit Shetty's intervention. The situation got worse with Asim's argument with Shetty post which he couldn't continue being a part of the show.
Post the episode, a section of fans believed that Asim disrespected Rohit Shetty while others were of the opinion that he was constantly being poked by Bhanot and Abhishek Kumar which led to his outburst.
Well, looks like Asim and Shalin have let bygones be bygones.
