MUMBAI: Colors TV’s Mangal Lakshmi continues to keep viewers hooked with its gripping storyline. The latest twist has left fans stunned, as Adit’s character takes an unexpected turn — losing his mental stability and behaving like a seven-year-old child. In this new phase, Adit considers Mangal his best friend, while he mocks Saumya by calling her a “Sumo wrestler” and expresses his dislike for her.
TellyChakkar.com connected with actor Naman Shaw, who essays the role of Adit, to share his thoughts and experience on portraying this challenging new layer of his character.

When asked about his first reaction and thoughts about the recent twist in the show, Naman said, "When I found out I'd be playing a grown man with the mental age of a 7-year-old, I was super excited! The audience knows me as Adit, the alpha male, but seeing me run and hide behind Mangal like a child will be a hilarious contrast. I think they'll truly enjoy this fresh dynamic between Adit and Mangal – it's going to be a fun twist!"
Talking about prepping for the character, Naman said, "My team provided some references, but I wanted to keep my portrayal original and not draw inspiration from anyone specific. Observing my 4-year-old son helped – I picked up a few gestures from him that felt authentic. On the first day, we experimented with different approaches, and with my director's guidance, we refined it into a specific direction that worked well for the character.
Naman further added, "I'm truly grateful to our makers for giving me the chance to play a character with so many layers. It's both challenging and satisfying to portray different shades. Initially, I thought playing a childlike character would be easy, but I was proven wrong. The energy required is immense, and by the end of the day, I'm completely drained. Maintaining the character's consistency is crucial – one slip-up can show on camera, so it's a constant effort to stay in character."
We're sure the viewers are loving the current track and Naman's performance in Mangal Lakshmi.
