MUMBAI: Reality series Rise and Fall may have only launched a few days ago, but it has already taken audiences by storm.
Streaming on MX Player and Amazon Prime, the show is hosted by business tycoon Ashneer Grover and brings together a dynamic line-up of well-known faces from across the entertainment industry.
Based on the international format Rise and Shine, the competition places contestants on an equal platform at the start before dividing them into two distinct groups.
Some ascend to the status of Rulers, enjoying luxury and authority in a lavish penthouse, while others are relegated to the role of Grafters, tasked with enduring harsh conditions and minimal resources.

Among the star-studded line-up are Kiku Sharda, Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, Kubbra Sait, Aahana Kumra, Aditya Narayan, Anaya Bangar, Akriti Negi, Noorin Sha, Bali, Aarush Bhola, Arbaaz Patel, Nayandeep Rakshit, and wrestler Sangeeta Phogat.
However, in a dramatic turn of events, Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh has reportedly walked out of the show midway.
His exit comes after visible signs of frustration and emotional strain, with viewers noticing him remarking, “Mujhe azaad karo yaha se, ho gaya,” hinting at his desire to be freed from the overwhelming environment.
Sources suggest he was unsettled by the constant conflicts, mockery, and perceived pretence among fellow contestants.
Though there has been no official confirmation yet, speculation is rife that Pawan Singh’s journey on Rise and Fall has indeed come to an end. His departure adds to a growing list of unexpected exits, once again sparking conversation about the mounting pressure participants face inside reality shows.
Fans, meanwhile, are certain to miss his presence, as his performance and persona had already struck a chord with the audience.
