MUMBAI: At the grand trailer launch of Kantara: Chapter 1 in Bangalore, actress Rukmini Vasanth spoke straight from the heart. Playing Queen Kanakavathi in the film, she shared that this role is not just another part but a journey that has helped her evolve both as an actress and as a person. Calling it one of the most special experiences of her career, she revealed how the film has left a lasting impact on her life.
She began by thanking producer Mr. Vijay Kiragandur and Hombale Films, sharing how meaningful it feels to collaborate with them for the second time.
She also extended her heartfelt gratitude to the team behind the film, saying:
“Kantara Chapter 1 is a film which is very close to my heart. I can’t thank you enough Rishab Sir, as during the journey of making this film, I have grown not just as an actress but also as a human being. This film has changed me on a cellular level and all this is because of the trust and encouragement shown towards me by you. The smallest of scenes that I have seen during the dubbing process as well as the ones in this trailer, I see a lot of personal development as well as growth in me and it is because of this film. I still remember your encouraging words about my performance at the premiere of Saptha Sagaradaachaello Side A, thank you for making me a part of your team. With experience of working in more films I may be able to thank you better, but at this moment my heart is truly full. I also want to thank Pragathi Shetty, not just for styling my costumes so beautifully but also for being a constant support during the shoot. My gratitude also goes to our DOP and every single technician, because their effort and encouragement have made this journey so memorable for me.”
After winning hearts with her sincerity, Rukmini is now stepping into another big chapter of her career. Alongside Kantara: Chapter 1, she will also be seen in TOXIC and NTR Neel, starring Yash and NTR Jr. — two of the most anticipated films of the coming year.
