MUMBAI: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Rohit Purohit, who is winning hearts as a doting on-screen father, has stepped into the beautiful journey of parenthood in real life as well. Rohit and his actress-wife Sheena Bajaj recently welcomed a baby boy and have been quite open about their pregnancy journey and the struggles they faced.
In a candid interview, the couple revealed that before their marriage, they faced a lot of judgment from people around them. Sheena shared that at the time, Rohit wasn’t financially settled, and as an actor, his career came with uncertainties. This led to her relatives constantly advising her to reconsider marrying him.

Rohit recalled how he was living in a modest studio apartment in Malwani while they were planning their wedding. Sheena added, “When I got married to him, he had nothing. My relatives felt I was too young to take such a big step. They pointed out that there was no house, no car, no comfort. They even suggested I should marry a businessman or an industrialist instead.”
However, Sheena stood firm in her decision and cut ties with those who criticized her choice. “I didn’t invite the relatives who said mean things before our wedding. I just sent them hampers—there were no invitation cards for them,” she revealed.
Truly, Rohit and Sheena’s journey proves that when love is real, it rises above all obstacles.
