MUMBAI: It’s been 13 years since Esha Gupta made a striking debut in Jannat 2, and over the years, the actress has evolved into one of the most versatile performers in the industry. In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Esha describes her journey as “a rollercoaster filled with growth, learning, and new experiences.”
Talking about how her perspective towards work has matured with time, Esha shares, “Times have changed, and so has my approach. Earlier, it was about what the script was doing for me. Now, it’s only about the character and the director’s vision. A simple story can turn into a masterpiece with the right filmmaker. Even if my role is just two minutes long, I make sure to give my best because the writer created it with me in mind.”
Beyond her screen presence, Esha has also emerged as a strong voice for mental health awareness. Without sugarcoating her words, she explains, “There was no deep thought behind it. In our country, therapy is often looked down upon, but actually, only a healthy mind would choose therapy. Most of us are in therapy because of people who really need it, but don't go. For me, therapy has helped me move forward. I always say money should only buy you good, good health, both mental and physical. Without that, nothing else matters.”
As for what’s next, Esha is gearing up for Dhamaal 4 alongside Ajay Devgn. The actress recently wrapped up the shoot of the much-awaited entertainer, which is slated for a grand Eid 2026 release.
From a debutante in Jannat 2 to an actress who continues to reinvent herself, Esha Gupta’s journey is a testament to passion, persistence, and personal growth both on and off the screen.
