MUMBAI: Star Plus’ show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai witnessed a major dramatic sequence with Geetanjali’s death, marking the exit of Ruheen Ali Khan, who portrayed the character. In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Ruheen spoke about the track and her experience working with Samridhii Shukla.
Talking about her reaction to Geetanjali’s death track, Ruheen said, “Well, it wasn’t a huge shock for me because when I signed the show, I always knew that the track would eventually conclude. However, Geetu’s character ran for five months. Although I was prepared, I did feel sad while shooting the death sequence, as it meant I wouldn’t get to meet the people on set every day. Shooting the death sequence was a great experience. There were many running shots, diving from the car, and other action elements. We had a dedicated stunt master for the scene, and it was both fun and tiring at the same time.”

When asked about her working experience with Samridhii Shukla, who plays Abhira in the show, Ruheen said, “Sam is an absolute darling and a wonderful human being. She is very helpful on set and often gives her suggestions while performing scenes. She’s also generous — if she’s talking about a particular cosmetic or make-up products and you don’t have it, she wouldn’t mind sharing hers. She’s really cute and sweet.”
