MUMBAI: Sony SAB’s Gatha Shiv Parivaar Ki - Ganesh Kartikey continues to enchant audiences with its divine storytelling, tracing the extraordinary journey of the Shiv Parivaar - Lord Shiv (Mohit Malik), Goddess Parvati (Shrenu Parikh), and their sons, Lord Ganesh (Ekansh Kathrotiya) and Lord Kartikey (Subhan Khan).
This heartwarming mythological episode reveals the sweet secret behind Lord Ganesh's love for the modak. The tale begins with Goddess Parvati teaching her sweet-toothed son a gentle lesson in moderation, deliberately leaving the sugar out of his favorite laddoos to encourage balance in his life. Though disappointed, Lord Ganesh respectfully gives up his treat, deeply moving his brother, Lord Kartikey, who seeks counsel from Lord Shiva. Following Shiva's advice, they turn to the compassionate Anusuya, wife of Rishi Atri. During a grand feast, Anusuya creates a completely new sweet: the Modak, a delicious and nourishing dumpling that embodies thoughtfulness and balance. The moment Lord Ganesh tastes this perfect creation, his sadness vanishes, and the Modak instantly wins his heart, becoming his most cherished offering—a timeless symbol of love and mindful care.
Speaking about this endearing track, Ekansh Kathrotiya, who plays Lord Ganesh, shared, “I really enjoyed shooting this story because it shows how much love there is in Ganesh’s family. Parvati Maa stops making sweets not to scold him, but to take care of him. When Anusuya Maa makes the modak, it becomes something special made just for Ganesh with so much love. That’s why the modak becomes his favorite, it’s not just tasty, it’s filled with love and care.”
