MUMBAI: Claudia Ciesla, who has featured in Bigg Boss and the film Khiladi 786, is not just an actress but also a certified nutritionist. Known for her balanced approach to health and fitness, Claudia has always stood out for her honest take on dieting. In an industry where appearances often overshadow wellbeing, she believes the conversation around food needs to change. Through her platform Claudia’s Concept, she now guides people towards sustainable lifestyle changes rather than quick fixes.

Claudia strongly feels that many today especially actors are overdoing the dieting bit. “There’s a lot of obsession with fad diets, quick fixes, and extreme restrictions, and unfortunately, these trends often do more harm than good,” she says. For her, food is not about punishment but nourishment. “When you see food as the enemy, you not only slow down your metabolism but also risk deficiencies and long-term health issues. My philosophy has always been that dieting is about balance and sustainability, not deprivation.”

Like most nutritionists, Claudia is approached by clients almost every day with concerns about weight. “Weight loss consultations are definitely the most common. Whether it’s obesity, belly fat, or weight gain after trying multiple diets, almost everyone is chasing numbers on the scale. But when I dig deeper, the issue is often deeper—gut health, hormonal imbalance, stress, or poor sleep. Once we address these, weight loss happens naturally and stays off.”

Her first advice is to stop running after shortcuts. “Your weight didn’t come overnight, so don’t expect it to go away overnight. Sustainable results come with consistency. I always focus on four pillars—balanced nutrition, regular movement, good quality sleep, and stress management. Once people start nourishing themselves instead of starving, they see incredible changes—more energy, glowing skin, better mood—and eventually, a healthier body weight.”

Being in front of the camera made Claudia weight-conscious early in her career. Like many young actors, she experimented with restrictive diets, but they left her drained. “I wanted more than just a slim body—I wanted energy, confidence, and glowing skin. That’s why I started studying nutrition, initially for myself. The knowledge transformed my approach to food, and that’s what inspired me to create Claudia’s Concept. As both an actress and a nutritionist, I now encourage others not to repeat the mistakes I made.”

Claudia believes true health is about balance, not extremes. “Crash diets may give you quick results, but they don’t last. Real wellbeing comes from building habits that you can sustain for life. Once you start respecting your body and feeding it with the right foods, everything else falls into place.”
