MUMBAI: Christmas has always been one of the most coveted dates for film releases in India, and this year’s festive season is set for a major box office showdown.
Two highly anticipated films Kartik Aaryan’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis — are officially scheduled to hit cinemas on 25th December 2025.
Originally, Kartik’s romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri was slated for a New Year’s Eve release on 31st December, but the makers have now advanced the release to Christmas Day, setting the stage for an exciting festive face-off.

For Agastya Nanda, Ikkis marks his second film after his digital debut in The Archies. The project is based on the real-life story of Arun Khetrapal, a young Indian soldier who displayed extraordinary bravery during the Indo-Pak war, promising an emotionally stirring and patriotic narrative.
In contrast, Kartik’s film is said to be a light-hearted romantic comedy, appealing to audiences seeking a dose of love and laughter during the holidays.
The contrast in genres, one a heartwarming war drama and the other a charming rom-com makes this clash all the more intriguing.
Kartik Aaryan, now a firmly established name in Bollywood, faces Agastya Nanda, who is just beginning to carve his space in the industry.
With both films carrying strong appeal in their own right, it remains to be seen whether one will outshine the other or if both will strike gold at the box office as has often happened when two good films share a release date.
