MUMBAI: Rasha Thadani, daughter of actress Raveena Tandon, is officially stepping into Telugu cinema. After gaining significant attention in 2025 with her debut film Azaad, Rasha has now been confirmed as the female lead opposite Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni in the upcoming Telugu film AB4.
This marks a major launch for both young actors, as Jaya Krishna, the grandson of legendary actor Krishna and nephew of Mahesh Babu, will also be making his debut.
The announcement was made by director Ajay Bhupathi through a post on X, where he wrote, “Make way for the gorgeous and talented Rasha Thadani into Telugu cinema. Stay tuned to witness her magnetic screen presence and performance in AB4.”
His message has already begun generating buzz online, with fans eager to see Rasha’s entry into the Telugu industry.

AB4, which serves as Ajay Bhupathi’s fourth directorial after RX100, Maha Samudram, and Mangalavaaram, is said to be an intense romantic drama set in breathtaking hilly terrain.
The film reportedly carries strong emotional conflict and places significant narrative weight on the female lead’s character arc — a role that insiders say Rasha has been preparing for diligently.
According to early reports, the script demands depth, vulnerability, and a powerful emotional range, making it a promising opportunity for the young actress.
The project will feature Jaya Krishna Ghattamaneni, son of the late Ramesh Babu, in the lead, and many industry members see his debut as one of the most anticipated launches in Telugu cinema.
The film will be produced by P. Kiran under the Chandamama Kathalu banner and presented by Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies, the studio behind the futuristic blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD.
The collaboration between these production houses and Bhupathi has raised expectations further. Filming is set to begin later this month.
Rasha Thadani’s career began with Abhishek Kapoor’s period drama Azaad, in which she starred alongside Ajay Devgn, Diana Penty, and debutant Aaman Devgan. Set in 1920s British India, the film followed the emotional journey of a stable boy named Govind.
While the film experienced mixed-to-negative reviews from critics, Rasha’s presence was noticed, especially in the viral song “Uyi Amma”, which circulated widely on social media.
Now, Rasha is simultaneously working on her second Hindi film, Laikey Laikaa, a romantic action entertainer starring Munjya actor Abhay Verma.
Industry watchers believe that the combination of a strong Telugu launch and her ongoing Bollywood projects is helping shape her into one of the most promising young talents to watch.
With AB4, Rasha Thadani enters a new phase of her career, backed by a powerful legacy, a rapidly growing fan base, and an opportunity to shine in a leading role opposite another debutant from one of Telugu cinema’s most respected families.
