MUMBAI: Parineeti Chopra is a popular hindi movie actress known for films like Ishaqzaade and Amar Singh Chamkila. She holds a triple honours degree in business, finance, and economics from the University of Manchester.

Raghav Chadha is a prominent Indian politician from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and currently serves as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. He is also a practising Chartered Accountant.

The couple married on September 24, 2023, in Udaipur, and recently became parents to a son named Neer, born on October 19, 2025.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha, who welcomed their first child exactly a month ago on October 19, 2025, have officially revealed the name of their baby boy to the world.

The celebrity couple took to their social media accounts on November 19 to share the wonderful news, alongside adorable photos of them holding their son's tiny feet.

The couple has named their son Neer. The name, derived from Sanskrit, signifies "pure," "divine," and "limitless," embodying the profound feelings the new parents have for their child.

The choice of name is deeply symbolic, as they explained in their caption, which contained a beautiful, philosophical sentiment.

The translated quote from their post read: "The form of water, the form of love—that is Neer. Our hearts found peace in an eternal drop of life. We named him 'Neer' — pure, divine, limitless.”

An interesting detail behind the name selection is that Neer is a clever amalgamation of the parents' names.

The couple combined the "Nee" from Parineeti's first name and the initial "R" from Raghav's name to form "Neer," continuing a trend seen with other celebrity parents who have blended their names to create a unique identity for their children.

The couple's journey began with a private engagement ceremony in New Delhi at Kapurthala House in May 2023.

Following this, they had a spectacular wedding celebration in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on September 24, 2023, surrounded by their family and friends.

Earlier this year, in August 2025, Parineeti and Raghav announced their pregnancy with a joint post, sharing a picture of a celebratory cake with the equation '1 + 1 = 3' and baby footprints, captioning it: "Our little universe … on its way.

Blessed beyond measure." Now, the couple enters a beautiful new chapter of parenthood with their son, Neer.
