MUMBAI: Ahaan Panday, who recently made a remarkable entry into the world of entertainment with his hit film Saiyaara, has opened up about the dynamic with his cousin, actress Ananya Panday, clarifying expectations surrounding their professional relationship.
While many assumed the established star would have guided the newcomer, Ahaan revealed that Ananya chose a different path of support—one of silent inspiration.

In a recent interview, Ahaan addressed the question of pre-debut mentorship, stating: "Ananya has never personally given me advice, but her journey has inspired me.
People do not realise how young she was when she started. She has grown with the industry, and in just a few years, has evolved so much as an artist. Watching your little sister move mountains—that just makes you proud."
This revelation underscores that for Ahaan, Ananya’s professional success and ability to thrive served as a more powerful lesson than any verbal counsel.
The feeling is mutual, as Ananya previously confessed that she was overcome with emotion after watching Saiyaara.
Ananya, who rarely shows tears, was reportedly weeping after seeing Ahaan's performance, declaring that he looked "so good, so expressive with his eyes, just a complete star."
Ahaan also spoke candidly about his initial aspirations and the hesitation from his own parents regarding his career choice.
He shared that he gave his first screen test at the age of 16, a year before Ananya even made her entry into the industry.
His parents were initially sceptical about his joining the performance space.
Ahaan explained the family's concerns, saying, "While my uncle Chunky Panday has done phenomenally well in his career and become a household name, he has had his ups and downs.
My dad saw that and wondered if this was the right path for me."
The romantic drama Saiyaara, co-starring Aneet Padda, proved to be a critical and commercial success for Ahaan, establishing him as a promising new face.
The actor is now focused on his future projects, which include an upcoming action thriller where he will be sharing screen space with actress Sharvari.
