MUMBAI: The wait for the big-screen adaptation of the massively popular crime thriller series, Mirzapur, got a little more bearable as actor Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit) gave fans a special glimpse of the team currently shooting the film.
Ali Fazal took to his social media handle to share candid, behind-the-scenes photographs straight from the sets of Mirzapur: The Movie, currently in production in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

The photos feature a rare and relaxed reunion of some of the core cast members who have defined the cult franchise.
Ali Fazal is seen alongside his on-screen rival and associate, Pankaj Tripathi (Akhandanand "Kaleen" Tripathi), Divyenndu (Munna Tripathi), Abhishek Banerjee (compounder 'Shahji' Maqbool), and the newest cast member, Jitendra Kumar.
The group is captured in high spirits, smiling and posing for the camera, highlighting the strong camaraderie among the actors off-screen.
Ali Fazal accompanied the photographs with a message to fans, urging them to check out another film while they await the arrival of the Mirzapur feature.
He wrote, "From the M team – 7 here, 120 there. Please watch 120 Bahadur in the cinema halls. And us? Please wait for us for a little bit. We are moving towards you”. Coming Soon In Theatres."
A source close to the production confirmed the significance of the shared photo, noting that it was a special moment to have the original cast back together for a key sequence.
The insider added that Ali wanted to give fans a peek into that special energy, which is why he shared the picture.
Mirzapur: The Movie is expected to build meaningfully on the gritty and intense world that the series has already established.
While the hit series was primarily filmed across Uttar Pradesh in cities like Mirzapur, Jaunpur, and Varanasi, the movie adaptation is currently undertaking an important shooting schedule in Jodhpur.
The feature film is reportedly scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026.
