Tailored for the digital-first generation, verticals deliver sharp, fast-paced narratives and create exciting opportunities for unique on-screen pairings—something audiences are increasingly drawn to.
TellyChakkar.com has now exclusively learned that Shakeb Sayed Studios—known for popular vertical shows like Kismat Ka Sikandar, Asli Nawabzada, Royal Affairs and more—is gearing up for yet another intriguing project, this time for Story TV. According to sources, the makers have roped in Parichay fame Samir Soni to headline the story.

A source associated with the project revealed, “The show is tentatively titled Chhupa Rustam Baap. It follows the lives of an affluent family that prides itself on its status and often mistreats those who work for them. Samir Soni’s character enters the household as a driver, but he is not who he appears to be. He has a hidden motive behind joining the family, and once his true purpose comes to light, it triggers a dramatic twist that reshapes the entire narrative.”
Samir Soni, admired for his versatile performances in Fashion, Parichay, Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, Cartel, and Kumkum – Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan, is expected to bring depth and intensity to this layered role.
