Arjun Bijlani finally breaks silence on his equation with Dhanashree Verma; says, ‘I’m Not On…’

Rise and Fall winner Arjun Bijlani confirmed in a recent interview that he and co-contestant Dhanashree Verma are no longer in contact, stating that the connection they shared was purely limited to their time inside the reality show house.

MUMBAI: Arjun Bijlani is a well-established and highly successful actor in Indian television, known for leading roles in popular shows like Left Right Left, Miley Jab Hum Tum, and Naagin.

His career highlights also include winning the stunt-based reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. His recent victory in Rise and Fall, hosted by Ashneer Grover, solidified his reputation as a formidable reality show competitor.

Dhanashree Verma is a popular choreographer, dancer, and social media personality. Before entering Rise and Fall, she was already a known figure due to her prominent dance career and her high-profile marriage and subsequent divorce from cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.

Her time on the show was marked by openness regarding her personal life and past relationship struggles, which stirred significant discussion among viewers

The reality series Rise and Fall, which premiered on Amazon MX Player and was hosted by entrepreneur Ashneer Grover, became a major talking point in television for its unique concept and the intense celebrity dynamics it showcased.

The show pitted 16 contestants against each other in a social experiment exploring themes of power, wealth, and manipulation, with participants designated as either 'Rulers' living in luxury or 'Workers' struggling in a bare-basics basement.

The first season of the reality show Rise and Fall, which saw actor Arjun Bijlani emerge as the winner, was defined by intense power dynamics, strategic gameplay, and volatile relationships.

Now that the cameras have stopped rolling and the competitive environment has concluded, Arjun Bijlani has opened up about his current equation with fellow contestant Dhanashree Verma, confirming that the bond they shared did not extend into the outside world.

During their time on the reality series, which featured two distinct groups—the ‘Rulers’ and the ‘Workers’—Arjun and Dhanashree were often seen interacting, sometimes cordially and at other times engaging in disagreements about gameplay.

In a recent interview, when asked about his relationship with Dhanashree post-show, Arjun stated that they are not currently in touch.

He was quite direct about the nature of their bond, clarifying that it was confined to the show's run.

He revealed, "I'm not on talking terms with her because I don't even have her number, honestly.

What you saw in the show was it. And it's not like I have taken the effort to be in touch with her or anything of that sort. She is doing what she has to do."

One notable moment during the show involved Arjun offering comfort to Dhanashree when she became emotional and spoke about her former husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, and allegations of infidelity.

This moment of empathy drew attention and mixed reactions from viewers, with some questioning if it was a part of Dhanashree's game strategy.

Addressing that specific instance after his victory, Arjun was keen to clarify his intentions. He maintained that his reaction was genuine and driven by human empathy, not strategy.

He recalled the moment, saying, "She was crying and sharing some things about her past life. I was listening and voiced my opinion calmly because it was just a normal conversation.

I didn't do anything for the game. For me, it was a moment of empathy. She spoke about her personal life out in the open—I would have never done that."

Despite the cordial moments and the brief, empathetic connection inside the house, Arjun’s comments make it clear that their association was strictly professional and competitive, dissolving once the season ended.

Arjun is currently enjoying his post-victory time, while Dhanashree is reportedly focusing on her music and dance projects.
