MUMBAI: Paridhi Sharma, loved for her memorable role as Jodha in Jodha Akbar and now seen as Eram in Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s thriller Haq, is not only impressing viewers with her acting but also encouraging meaningful conversations about mindful and balanced living. At a time when trends and excess dominate daily life, Paridhi’s thoughts stand out for their simplicity and honesty.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Paridhi shared the philosophy she feels India should return to. “Embrace the beautiful philosophy of Indian society—simple living, high thinking, and being self-assured,” she said. For her, mindful living starts with kindness—towards oneself and towards the environment. She feels people today are running blindly after consumerism without knowing when to stop. “The way we are going behind consumerism with no pause or limit… minimalism brings a sense of sanity,” she added.

Paridhi also spoke about how overconsumption is harming the planet. Rising temperatures, worsening pollution and increasing health problems, she says, are all connected to human greed. “It is literally killing the Earth,” she warns.
She believes the real change has to start from within. For her, self-worth is the foundation of a meaningful life. “If we don’t believe we are enough, we will never feel complete,” she said. Paridhi feels success has nothing to do with how many things a person owns. “Success means sleeping well and living a life of value—not only for yourself but for humanity and the environment.”
Quoting Mahatma Gandhi, Paridhi reminded people how endless human greed can be, and how today’s consumer culture strengthens it. She recalled a time before social media, when trends like “airport looks” didn’t even exist. “Suddenly, due to social media, our lifestyle has changed. We have begun presenting ourselves like every moment is a fashion show,” she said. Paridhi prefers to stay away from such trends, choosing authenticity over showiness.
While she explores deep emotions on screen as Eram in Haq, off-screen Paridhi continues to speak about living with simplicity, mindfulness and purpose. With her growing fan base and refreshing outlook, Paridhi Sharma is not just shaping stories on TV and film—she is inspiring people to rethink how they live their own lives.
