MUMBAI: Actresses Kajol Devgan and Twinkle Khanna have officially responded to the significant backlash directed at their chat show, Two Much With Kajol & Twinkle, which premiered recently on a major streaming platform.
The program quickly sparked widespread controversy on social media due to several candid and provocative statements made by the hosts and their celebrity guests during various segments.

The actresses took the opportunity to address the criticism directly during a bonus episode, which featured cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma.
Kajol introduced the recurring segment called 'This Side That Side,' which had previously been a source of much debate online.
She acknowledged the issues upfront, stating, "Now it's time for our next segment, which has gotten us into a lot of trouble. Welcome to This Side That Side, where opinions don't matter as much as light-hearted teasing."
Following up on her co-host's comment, Twinkle Khanna added a crucial clarification and a retrospective disclaimer for all viewers.
"And there's a disclaimer, which we should have had from the first episode, that nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously. Please don't follow any of our advice in this segment," she urged, emphasising the non-serious nature of the discussions.
The core of the earlier controversy stemmed from an episode featuring filmmaker Karan Johar and actress Janhvi Kapoor, where the group debated the severity of emotional versus physical cheating in a relationship.
In that conversation, Kajol, Karan, and Twinkle had suggested that emotional infidelity could potentially be worse than physical cheating. Karan Johar notably remarked, "Physical infidelity is not a deal breaker," while Twinkle Khanna flippantly added, "The night passed, the matter passed."
Janhvi Kapoor, who disagreed vehemently, countered the point by stating, "No, the deal is broken." Twinkle then commented on the difference in generational views, observing, "We're in our 50s, she's in her 20s, and she will get into this circle soon."
Another statement that raised many eyebrows was Kajol’s philosophical take on modern marriage, where she mused about the idea of marital contracts having an expiry date.
"I definitely think so. Who says you will get married to the right person at the right time? So, you should have a renewal option.
And if there's an expiry date, then we don't have to suffer for too long," Kajol had suggested.
Through their latest episode, both hosts made it clear that the entire premise of their show is based on humorous and casual exchanges, urging audiences to consume the content with a sense of humour rather than treating it as serious relationship counsel.
