Sham Kaushal signs on as an action director for Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi

Veteran action choreographer Sham Kaushal, known for his work in major Hindi films, has reportedly been roped in to supervise a lavish, high-octane action sequence for the upcoming Telugu sports action drama Peddi, which stars Ram Charan and is directed by Buchi Babu Sana.

MUMBAI: The highly anticipated Telugu project Peddi, a sports action drama starring Ram Charan in the lead role and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is currently generating massive excitement for its ambitious scale.

The latest update confirms the team is bringing in one of the most respected names in fight choreography, veteran Sham Kaushal, to elevate the film's action sequences.

Sham Kaushal, who is the father of actor Vicky Kaushal, has an illustrious career in the film industry, having designed complex action for acclaimed films like Dangal, Padmaavat, and Bajirao Mastani.

The collaboration signals the production's commitment to delivering world-class action for the pan-Indian audience.

According to reliable industry sources, the production house has secured the veteran action master's expertise to oversee a pivotal and "key action episode in the movie."

The report indicates that the team is currently filming this sequence in Hyderabad and is sparing no expense, having "spent a lavish amount on it."

This particular schedule is a high-stakes affair, reportedly featuring Ram Charan, Kannada star Shiva Rajkumar, and a number of specialised fighters.

The intense physical demands and elaborate set pieces require the kind of experienced direction that Kaushal provides.

Peddi is set against a rural backdrop and is said to revolve around a thrilling cricket tournament.

Ram Charan is set to appear in a dynamic new avatar, supported by a talented cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, alongside Shiva Rajkumar.

The film's first single, "Chikiri Chikiri," composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman, has already been released, building anticipation for the project, which is currently slated for a March 27, 2026, theatrical release.
