MUMBAI: In the vibrant heart of Hyderabad, two lives were destined to collide, two souls connected long before they ever knew it. Deepa and Karthik, both born in the same city, grew up under the same skies, carrying dreams, hopes, and battles of their own. But fate had something far more powerful planned for them.
Years ago, in a moment that changed everything, Deepa stepped forward with courage that defied every fear. She saved Karthik’s life, without hesitation, without expectation, and without ever knowing how deeply that moment would echo through time. To Karthik, she became an unseen guardian angel, a quiet strength he carried in his memory long after the world moved on.
Now, destiny brings them face-to-face again. Only this time, the roles have reversed. Karthik stands at a crossroads where he must protect the very woman who once saved him.
Deepa’s life is shadowed by danger, and Karthik finds himself drawn to her with a force he can’t explain. Is it gratitude? Is it connection? Or something far deeper, written long before either of them understood the meaning of love? As their worlds intertwine, emotions rise, secrets unfold, and a bond as old as their city begins to awaken.
Ashika Padukone as Deepa brings grace, fire, and vulnerability to a woman who gives selflessly. Ankit Raizada as Karthik embodies strength, determination, and a love that grows stronger with every heartbeat. This isn’t just a story, it’s fate calling them home.
Ashika Padukone is debuting in Indian television industry from the Star Plus show Shehzaadi Hai Tu Dil Ki. Speaking about the same, she said, "Deepa’s story touched me from the very first narration. She may seem simple, but her inner strength makes her extraordinary. For me, this show is a journey of a woman who rises after every hardship — a story that mirrors so many real-life Deepas around us."
She further added, "The title itself says that every woman, with or without luxuries, deserves love and respect. Deepa may not have comforts, but her dignity and warmth make her a true princess at heart. I didn’t just perform her; I understood her. Her soft yet powerful strength, her silent battles, and her love for her child shaped my performance."
"Deepa’s intensity comes from her pain and responsibilities, and when a woman fights for her child, strength comes naturally. That thought keeps every emotion honest on screen." She added.
Watch Shehzaadi Hai Tu Dil Ki starting today onwards, everyday at 7:30 PM, only on Star Plus.
