On Tuesday, actor Chandrachur Singh went to the Aligarh District Magistrate's office with his mother to address a dispute concerning his ancestral property.

Singh alleged that family members were trying to seize "unlawful possession" of the haveli and pleaded with the authorities to halt the illegal encroachment.

As per sources, Singh provided District Magistrate Sanjeev Ranjan with documentation outlining his claim, specifically asking the administration to ensure the haveli's protection during the ongoing legal process.

The 1990s actor Chandrachur Singh has political and royal roots: his father, Baldev Singh, was an MLA from Khair, and his mother, Krishna Kumari Devi, is linked to the royal family of Bolangir, Odisha.

Before his film career, Singh was educated at The Doon School and St. Stephen’s College, with earlier aspirations of joining the civil services.

The actor has formally asked the district administration to prevent any illegal encroachment or "unauthorised takeover" of the haveli during the ongoing family dispute.

Authorities have acknowledged the complaint and stated that subsequent steps will be taken once the provided documents have been thoroughly verified.
