I guess I have become a cameo queen - Shruti Bapna

Shruti Bapna
The lovely Shruti Bapna who is currently seen playing Rupali in Sony Entertainment Television’s Chhanchhan (Optimystix Productions) is enjoying playing a cameo in the show and is quite excited about the change her character will be taking in the coming episodes. Shruti who has earlier been part of shows like Saas Bina Sasural, Sasural Genda Phool and Savdhan India said, “I am having fun playing the character of Rupali in Chhanchhan. It’s something that I have never done before and that makes it all the more interesting.” When asked on why she boarded a sinking boat with the show soon set to go off air, Shruti averred, “I had worked with the team previously and when I was approached for this role I did not refuse it. I knew the show would go off air soon, but that was a challenge for me to make a mark in this given short time.” Speaking about her taking up cameos, the talented actor said, “I am still waiting for the Balaji project Mera Tera Rishta Purana to take off, and since we are in a contract with the production, we are not in a liberty to take up new shows. So I am satisfied with doing cameos for now. I actually enjoy it.” She further added, “I am also not very keen on shooting day and night for 25 days a month for any show. So cameos come as a break and you also get to portray various characters in such a short time.” Talking about her future projects she said, “As earlier said, I am waiting for Mera Tera Rishta Purana to start, where I play Divyanka’s (Tripathi) younger sister. I have done a short role in the film Lunch Box and another film too.” When we brought her attention to so many cameos she is doing, the bubbly girl laughed, “I guess I have become a cameo queen now.” Three cheers, Shruti.
