MUMBAI: Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey, the producing pair of the show Udaariyaan, have never hidden their intense love. After their performance, Sargun knelt down on the Nach Baliye stage, where Ravi made an elaborate proposal for her.

They have had a happy marriage ever since. Sargun recently discussed Ravi's difficult experiences before their marriage and how he dealt with them subsequently in an honest conversation with Siddharth Kannan. She said that Ravi tends to be spiritual and makes connections between everything.

During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Sargun Mehta disclosed details of the difficult time in Ravi Dubey's life. She said that Ravi has always been honest with her and has gone over everything in great detail. However, that difficult time in his life was before she entered in his life. She continued, “And everybody knows about it also because usne Buddhism jab wo chant kar rahe the to unhone its recorded somewhere so a lot people have heard that incidence of his life. That time of his life (And everyone is aware of it because when he was chanting Buddhism, it was recorded somewhere, so a lot of people have heard about that incident in his life. That time of his life).”

The Jamai Raja actor sees the lessons he has learned from his struggles as more valuable than his achievements. Sargun clarified his approach by stating, “He is somebody jo har cheez se spiritually evolve ho jata hai. Like he understands it. He understands ki ye mere sath kyu hua, maine isse kya seekha, isse tujhe kya seekhna chahiye Sargun. Ye humne le liye, iska tatv itna. Ab isse humne aage badhenge ab isko kisi aur ko de dete hai apne experience ko. So that somebody else can learn from it (He is someone who spiritually evolves from everything. Like, he understands it. He understands why this happened to me, what I learned from it, what you should learn from it, Sargun. We learned its essence. Now, we will move forward from this, now we give it to someone else, our experience. So that somebody else can learn from it).”

Sargun says her husband thinks it's important to share his experiences so that others might benefit from it. She goes on to say that these kinds of common experiences can inspire confidence in others.

Previously, Ravi Dubey had disclosed that he had attempted suicide following his failure in an engineering exam, saying, “If I was not realistic in that moment I would not have committed the most shameful act of my life which was an attempt to end it.”

More than ten years have passed since Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta exchanged vows in marriage. Sargun said that she comes to understand the depth and value of their relationship on every day. She often finds herself wondering how to express her gratitude to God for sending Ravi into her life.

She loves her husband for who he is. Sargun stated, thinking back on the relationship they had, “Hum ek doosre ko nahi tang karenge. We are going to set a goal and we are both going to move towards that one dream. Together like hand in hand. Like enjoying that journey of having to be there and be there (We will not bother each other. We are going to set a goal and we both will move towards that one dream. Together, hand in hand. Enjoying the journey of getting there and being there).”
