Why didn’t Swarg air last evening?

Those who watch Colors regularly must have been surprised not to have seen a fresh episode of Director Kut’s Swarg on 24 July. The show airs at 7.30 pm. What the viewers saw was an extended episode of the preceding show Bhagyavidhata. That begs the question as to why didn’t Swarg air? Apparently, the buzz goes that Colors will now have one hour specials of its top shows like Balika Vadhu and Uttaran every Friday. Well, this started with Bhagyavidhata yesterday. So, the viewers will see hourly specials of other hit shows soon.

So, the viewers will see hourly specials of other hit shows soon. Earlier, there were some rumours that this decision didn’t go down too well with Swarg producer Rajan Shahi . However, the man himself has laughed at these tales. “There is absolutely no issue with Colors. I knew before hand that Bhagyavidhata will be airing for an hour on 24 July and we had planned out things accordingly. We too have done one hour specials for our other shows – Bidaai and Yeh rishta kya kehlata hai. So, why should I have any issue with this? Even the thought is absurd and funny. Special episodes are the order of the day,” said Shahi. Bhagyavidhata’s producer Sheel Kumar had this to say, “I don’t know whether this is a strategy but Colors had informed us about the special episode on Monday (20 July).” So, special hourly episodes will now be a regular feature on Colors. However, officials from Colors refused to comment anything.
